About This Product
LL-37 is the body’s own antibiotic — the single cathelicidin peptide the human immune system makes, the only one of its family found in humans. It’s cut from a precursor protein (hCAP18) by enzymes that release its active 37-amino-acid tail, and named for its own structure: two leucines (LL) at the head of a 37-residue chain.
Research has mapped it as a multitasker — disrupting microbial membranes, binding bacterial toxins, signalling to immune cells, and participating in tissue repair. Supplied as a lyophilised research compound.
